A candy apple red convertible and bilingual Santas made for a rowdy couple of days. Was happy to have Mike Swanner along for the ride. Got to use my new 8050 as a plant mic in a couple of interesting ways.  Really happy with how it sounds, as I had heard it was a little tubby.

Dealt in Sweden

Dealt in Sweden
Finally learned that there are nerds all over the globe, even in Sweden. Covered Richard at a magic convention in Lund, Sweden. A little college town. Showed Richard performing, at the trade show, and even doing a workshop with a few fortunate aspiring card mechanics. Got to have lunch in a castle on my birthday!

Mules and Pools

Did a five-day campaign for Smirnoff, which had just barely enough dialog to justify me being there, mostly I got to play DJ for playback during party scenes. Great group, would love to work in that config all the time.

Utah Alcohol Dealy

Made three spots over two days, directed by Scott Rice. Still looking forward to seeing them, as one has a human-sized bobblehead and another spot has giant spiders.
This was the first gig I got to use my new PSC Solice Mini mixer with.

Make it Rain

Spent a few days on an X-Men fan fiction short in a ginormous warehouse out off of 130. Was sweating the acoustics but I think we captured some usable stuff. Lots of stunts and VFX will be in this.

Hooked!

Did a three day blur of a spot for the Office of Tobacco Prevention. Meredith Johns created a nice hook in mouth gag and we dragged a young baseball player all over town.

Dealt in Chicago

Making the rounds. Stayed in an AirBNB-type situation that was really great. Newly restored two-floor condo in a great neighborhood. Perfect weather as well, tricking me into wanting to live there. The cold was months away. Richard was performing a ‘one man show’ version of his act at a neat little theater and we also spent a day sightseeing with him and his wife, Kim. On a downer note, my Mom had a heart incident in Chicago the week before on a three day trip and was still stuck in a hospital while we were there.
